Growing up in this spiritually charged place on the banks of the holy Ganges, I started studying yoga at the age of 13 years. At first only to gain flexibility because my dream was to become a dancer and I felt I was not flexible enough.
I started my studies at the famous Shivananda Ashram in Rishikesh. My teacher soon moved to open his own yoga center and I stayed with him for 10 years. At the age of 23, I was invited to Kenia to start teaching yoga in the big Indian community in Nairobi. From this time my path of yoga changed forever: no longer was I only a student, but also became a teacher of yoga.
After being in Kenia for 3 years, I went back to Rishikesh and started to teach yoga there. I still continued the yoga studies with highly acknowledged yoga teachers in and outside of India.
In 2004 I found my way to Frankfurt and since then I have regularly been teaching workshops throughout Germany, as well as a3 months teaching in Sydney and several workshops around the world.
